Squeaky Wheel Media Recruits New Business Manager

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The Manhattan-based creative solutions firm, Squeaky Wheel Media, recently added one more player to their interactive team in order to meet the business demands of the growing company.

Texas native Amy Brent is the new Manager of Business Development. She will be working closely with Squeaky president and founder, Anthony Del Monte, in driving their sales initiatives, including strategies and programs to communicate Squeaky Wheel Media’s interactive and online marketing service offerings.

“When I met the Squeaky Wheel Media team, I knew that I found what I had been looking for professionally,” Brent said. “It can be difficult to find people who are as enthusiastic about the interactive industry as I am, but this talented and driven team is refreshingly passionate about the web site, marketing and technology solutions they deliver.”

Since the inception of Squeaky in December of 2001, Del Monte has managed the sales and business management responsibilities, but decided to add to the sales team when Brent came along with a handful of top-notch credentials.

“When someone of Amy's caliber becomes available you just have to react,” he said. “She’ll do an excellent job in adding business growth to the company because she brings a diverse background, industry knowledge and excitement to the Squeaky team.”

Before serving as Squeaky’s Manager of Business Development, Brent worked at ALTRAN, a European leader in innovation technology consulting in London, England. As their Strategic Account Manager, she sold and delivered a variety of E-business services, including online marketing, web design, web development, and E-commerce projects. Prior to joining ALTRAN, Brent was an account manager and project manager at Rare Medium, also in London, adding value to its sales efforts and client services, as well as maintaining the technical and creative aspects of online marketing and interactive campaigns.

In the mid-90s, Brent lived and worked in technology-centric Austin, Texas, where she worked for several start-ups as a sales executive. Brent said it was a risky but ultimately rewarding experience to be a part of the burgeoning Internet services industry. There she also received her bachelor’s degree in Technical and Business Writing from St. Edward’s University.
